Lately I have been having problems with HashMaps. When I updated one object of the HashMap all objects of the HashMap were updated this was very frustrating. I have realised when I was setting up the HashMap I was placing the same object as the value for all keys, so now I have a method call in the second argument of the put method on Java HashMaps which creates a new instance of the object.
