Ubuntu is Really Simple Linux

I put it on a old Celeron of a colleague that Blue Screened constantly on Win98

Apart from the partition manager not making a swap space like I asked it to, it worked fine. I tried installing ndiswrapper to get it to recognise a wireless pci card but didn't manage, my own lack of perseverance.

Chucked in a generic network card for a tenner and it worked straight off.

It detected the monitor resolution as well, nice hi res, Firefox and OpenOffice preinstalled, handles usbkeys fine and runs fast.

Impressive
